Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are an affectionate tail-wagging breed. These fearless little dogs live to love and be loved. They are smart enough to know what you want. Therefore, most are easily trained and respond well to gentle obedience training. They are naturally well-behaved and get along well with other dogs, non-canine pets, and children. Cavaliers love people and need lots of attention to be happy. They prefer not to be left alone all day but can be with proper training. | They are descended from hunting dogs, still have an phenomenal sense of smell and eyesight, and love to romp in the great outdoors. This breed loves to run so should be kept in an enclosed space or on a leash to ensure safety. They are wonderful with children but do best with older calmer children.
