Contract of Sale
Meara Cavaliers have done our best to provide a healthy, happy, and social puppy. For this health guarantee to be valid, the buy must take the puppy received to the buyer’s veterinarian within 1 week (7 days) of receiving the puppy for a health exam, at the buyer’s expense. A copy of this veterinarian visit must be sent back to Meara Cavaliers for the contract to be valid.
Meara Cavaliers is happy to ship the puppy at the buyer’s expense. Once the puppy is at the airport, Meara Cavaliers is no longer responsible for the puppy.
If within 1 week (7 days) of the stated purchase date the buyer’s veterinarian discovers a congenital defect of the eyes or heart that will severely interfere with the life function or mobility of the puppy described the buyer must provide Meara Cavaliers with a vet statement verifying the condition at the expense of the buyer. Replacement will be made as soon as a puppy of equal quality becomes available. No cash refund will be given. The buyer is responsible for all selling or transport costs of the replacement puppy. The buyer must return the registration papers before the replacement puppy is shipped at the buyer’s expense. All deposits are non-refundable.
Meara Cavaliers is not responsible for parasites such as coccodiosis, giardia, or other parasites that puppies commonly carry.
The buyer agrees that he/she understands this contract fully, and that this contract is under the jurisdiction of the state of Florida and the county of Pasco. It is agreed that the place of venue shall be in Pasco County, Florida.
If within the first year, the buyer happens to lose the puppy, the seller will request that an autopsy be performed at the buyer’s expense to determine cause of death. If cause of death is found to be due to congenital defect of the heart or eyes, Meara Cavaliers will replace the puppy as soon as a puppy of equal value is available.
Only when the life of the puppy is threatened by a congenital defect of the heart or eyes will Meara Cavaliers be liable for a replacement. Meara Cavaliers is not responsible for any vet bills that may occur during the life of your puppy through adulthood.
Please sign the contract/bill of sale, keep one copy for your self and send a copy to the seller, Meara Cavaliers. If you fail to send a signed contract to us, the contract will not be valid.
If for any reason the buyer is unable to care for this puppy at any stage of its life. The buyer will return the puppy to Meara Cavaliers.
